In the organizer's words:
Experience a dance-filled, atmospheric evening with a live band
The Buenos Aires Tango Trio brings Tango Argentino back to where it belongs - on stage and among the people.
Since 1992, the trio has been playing with the same line-up that characterized the great orquestas of the thirties and forties: Bandoneon, piano and violin. Three voices that fire each other up, contradict each other and embrace each other in the next bar.
Jorge Coll, born in Buenos Aires, son of a tango pianist and nephew of a bandoneonist, founded the trio after graduating from the conservatory in Argentina and completing a second degree in Mannheim. Tango was a family affair for him long before it became a profession.
Norbert Kotzan, one of Germany's most distinguished bandoneonists, spent four years learning his craft in the orchestras of the Argentinian capital.
Julia Jech, classically trained in Cologne, Madrid and Hanover, has found her musical home in tango and studied with the best violinists on the Río de la Plata.
Her repertoire ranges from Pugliese, Di Sarli, D'Arienzo, Troilo and Salgán to Astor Piazzolla and the Tango Nuevo of the second half of the century. Suitable for the concert hall as well as the milonga, with or without dancers.
What remains is the attitude: Tango Argentino with strength, with fragility - and with everything that happens in between.
The dance floor is open to everyone: Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer - let the music guide you and enjoy the dance!
We look forward to a tango night like in Buenos Aires!
