Be there when two great writers meet!
Nora Bossong and Alexander Estis will meet at literaturhaus.dortmund to talk about their works and their love of the Ruhr and the city.
Nora Bossong will talk about her play conceived for the Brost Foundation - it is about a silkworm farm in Gelsenkirchen, which in 1936 became part of Nazi propaganda and from 1939 even became relevant to armaments, as parachute silk was needed for the war. The play is intended to tell the dark side of the Ruhr region as the "armory of the Reich" from an unusual perspective.
And, like Alexander Estis, she will talk about her current impressions of the Ruhr region, about successful and unsuccessful structural change, etc. Bossong has, for example, been on a factory tour at ThyssenKrupp, had the Duisburg police chief explain the problems of increasing clan crime and spoken to local politicians about tight budgets.
Alexander Estis will shed light on his time in Dortmund and provide initial insights into his project "Dortmunder Visionen".
