NORA is a play about strength and vulnerability, fear and courage, doubt and decision. Director Anna-Katharina Andrees founded the Berlin-based 7 Women Company in 2020 and brings together six female artists to explore inner worlds of experience in an episodic collage and make them visible to the audience. Through circus, dance and theater, accompanied by a live original soundtrack, inner conflicts are brought to life and made comprehensible by the protagonists on stage.

About the company:
The 7 Women Company is a contemporary circus company from Berlin that explores the intersection of theater and circus with director Anna-Katharina Andrees. In 2020, Anna-Katharina brought together professional female artists from different circus disciplines and a musician and invited them to explore inner processes on stage and in the development of their own piece. Each artist brings her individual expertise and life experience to the table. Respect, trust, freedom of judgment and mutual acceptance are important basic attitudes for us in our work, which strives to create a space for resonance and identification for the audience and the performers. Anna-Katharina Andrees is a long-time practitioner of the Michael Chekhov acting method and a circus performer. She has particular experience in the field of inclusion and diversity and incorporates these aspects into her work.
