The Beyenburg Abbey Friends Association and the “unmuted” choir invite you to a concert titled “Northern Lights” at the Beyenburg Abbey Church. On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the women’s chamber choir, conducted by Julia Reckendrees, will present its current program. Free admission; donations collected at the exit will benefit the choir and the Beyenburg Monastery Friends Association.
With the “unmuted” Women’s Chamber Choir, the gems of choral music
in the most wonderful timbres. The semiprofessional ensemble
was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since dedicated itself
classical and contemporary repertoire. Experienced
professional musicians sing alongside highly talented
amateur singers, embodying femininity in all its facets.
The voices are just as at home in ethereal, delicate melodic weavings

Reckendrees creates a very special
sonic space—a symbiosis of musical precision and emotional
authenticity.
Join “unmuted” on a journey to the “Northern Lights,” the most beautiful
compositions from Latvia, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. The program
