Not Scientists are based in the French Alps and emerged from the band UncommonMenFromMars. With crystalline guitars and unstoppable melodies, they followed the playbook of the punk rock scene, releasing several albums, split EPs with the legendary Hard-Ons and Johnny Mafia, touring Europe relentlessly and finding a home with German labels Kidnap Music and Rookie Records. Their latest album is called "Staring At the Sun". Produced by Santi Garcia from Studio Ultramarinos Costa Brava and a sound engineer who was hungry for new sounds and got new sounds. The album is an ode to new wave melodies - a homage to The Cure and Killing Joke - and the flagship of a band pushing hard into uncharted waters. These guys know how to write good songs. Above all, they know how to give them soul. Clear and powerful imagery addresses themes of failure, loneliness, isolation and mental illness. It is the all too familiar experience of everyday life.

With the support of Kicking Records, Kidnap Records and Rookie Records, Not Scientists have left well-trodden paths and are plunging headlong into the creative undergrowth, blazing a new trail and leaving tattered conventions behind. They are currently working on a new album. And in May they will be on tour again.
