The group Noth sounds like a British post-punk band playing singer-songwriter music. Empathic storytelling like Andy Shauf, musical and linguistic wit like Höchsten Eisenbahn and energetic outbursts like Black Country, New Road characterize the band's sound. For their new record, Noth have collected "songs of disappearance"; tilting images of protest song and praise song, of punk and Zen. An album for the whole family. "Songs that are as funny as they are playful, while also being sophisticated and artistically high quality, with German lyrics that sound amazingly coherent without even trying any lyric or rhyming cliché of the German language." - Acoustic Guitar

KARWENDEL

Karwendel combines song and lyricism. The new EP "Geteiltes Herz" was recorded live and with seven musicians in the studio of Sönke Torpus. The inspiration for sound and production comes from island and overseas music: Van Morrison and Robert Wyatt are influences for the open form, Bonnie Prince Billy and Manuel García for the organic production. Thus, elements of poetry as well as folk, jazz, and rock music combine to create an independent melange that exudes great calm and musicality.
