NOX Festival
In the organizer's words:
NOX Festival Brings Electronic Culture and Regional Innovation to Kamenz Ostraka e.V., in collaboration with Happy Locals gGmbH, Neulandia, and Jägermeister’s “Save the Night” funding program, is organizing a new cultural festival for Eastern Saxony.
The NOX Festival, set to take place on September 5, 2026, at the Kamenz Airfield, is a new, independent cultural festival that combines electronic music, art, and social engagement. The festival is hosted by Ostraka e.V., which is bringing the project to life in collaboration with Happy Locals gGmbH, Neulandia, and Jägermeister’s international cultural support program, Save the Night.
The NOX Festival sees itself as much more than just a music event. Guided by the motto “Participation instead of consumption,” it creates a space where young people can shape culture together, develop creative ideas, and strengthen regional networks. In addition to electronic music on two stages, visitors can expect workshops, art installations, an open-air cinema screening the film *Subberlin – The Story of Tresor*, as well as community and social spaces. Through the festival, the project partners pursue the shared goal of sustainably strengthening cultural diversity in rural areas and opening up new perspectives for young people in their home region. The project focuses on personal initiative, social participation, and actively shaping regional culture.
As the host, Ostraka e.V. is responsible for organizing and coordinating the festival and, together with its partners, is creating an open, inclusive, and safe cultural space. Happy Locals gGmbH supports the project with its many years of experience in participatory regional development, while Neulandia assists in building creative networks. Through its “Save the Night” funding program, Jägermeister is committed to preserving independent cultural venues and promoting a vibrant nightlife.
The NOX Festival aims to bring people together, highlight creative potential, and demonstrate how culture can serve as a driving force for social cohesion and regional development. At the same time, the festival is intended to provide long-term momentum for Kamenz and the entire region and to foster the development of a sustainable cultural and creative scene.
