The biggest state poetry slam championship of all time takes place in all cities of the Mettmann district. And for one of the two big semi-finals, the best of the best poetry slammers will meet in the auditorium on Berliner Ring with the active support of the Sojus 7 team!

The contestants had one year to qualify. 72 of them made it to Neanderland and eight are now in the spectacular semi-finals. Now it's all about the big dream of reaching the final!

This year, the German-language Poetry Slam Championships will take place here in the district of Mettmann - in Neanderland.

The popular stage format is packed with the best slam poets from the wonderful state of North Rhine-Westphalia!

In the broad field between poetry, comedy, cabaret and prose, a scene has developed from which stars have emerged who create real internet hype or become TV stars and in which, at the same time, hungry newcomers are constantly providing surprises. And they all share the same stage.

Once an insider tip, the format has long since earned itself a reputation: Poetry Slam is a party, Poetry Slam is emotion, Poetry Slam is always unique. Concentrated word power meets performance ecstasy, volleys of poetry plow their way into the memory, and sore laughing muscles are guaranteed. And: since 2016, the modern poetry competition has been officially recognized as intangible UNESCO cultural heritage.
