In the organizer's words:
Two people are sitting opposite each other. A cooking program is playing in the background. Between them
years lie between them, spread out on a table full of boxes, photos, documents, anecdotes, props and memories. More people sit down at the table. Gradually, a narrative about 35 years of independent theater work emerges, groping, questioning, indulging: from Gelsenkirchen to Dortmund and beyond. A lecture-performance as an example of best practice: How can ephemeral stage art be preserved? Should independent theater work be archived at all? How does the material get out of the cellar and back into living work contexts? What is the best way to archive it, this axe?
