Offene Ateliers Dortmund 2024 am 5/6. und 12/13. Oktober 2024

Every two years, the "Open Studios Dortmund" offer art lovers the opportunity to experience art where it is created. In 2024, 138 artists and galleries will open their doors at 81 locations. On the first two weekends in October, visitors can experience a wide range of art and gain insights into the artists' working methods.

Studios, studios, workshops and galleries in private homes, shared studios and larger studio buildings will be opening their doors. Visitors will discover both tranquil backyards and industrial areas of the Ruhr region.

Both established artists and new participants, including students, will present their current work. They look forward to a direct exchange with visitors. The works on display range from painting, sculpture and graphics to photography and film, digital media, sound art and performance.

The special thing about the Open Studios Dortmund is the direct contact with the artists. Visitors can experience first-hand the conditions under which a work of art is created and have the opportunity to expand their own art collection by purchasing a work.

The event offers a comprehensive insight into the diversity of Dortmund's art scene. It shows the wide range of artistic forms of expression in Dortmund and how creative the city is in this field.

Due to the great response from both artists and visitors, the event will take place for the sixth time in 2024.
