We invite you to a free open rehearsal for WHEN THE RED SUN GLOWS (premiere on February 18).

WHEN THE RED SUN GLOWS is a nomadic choreography about embodied knowledge and about placing respect for the world at the center of one's own existence. The Argentinian choreographer and dancer Fernanda Ortiz, who has lived and worked in Hamburg since 2014, and her sister Mariana Ortiz Losada, dramaturge and director in Buenos Aires, approach the world view of the Guaraní people in their joint work. Inspired by the indigenous legend "yvy marãey", the "land without evil", and their own family history, they weave a resilient web of bodies and voices together with an international team. A choreographic exploration of ecological collapse and colonial heritage; an invitation to feel the jungle in your body. In the ears. On the skin.

During the performance, the audience make their own way through the space as scenes, voices and movements unfold around them. This special spatial proximity creates an open, sensitive contact between the audience and the artistic events and turns perception into a collective event. In the open rehearsal, ideas are tested and the participants not only gain an insight into the working methods of the international team, but also play an active role in shaping the artistic process.

German, English and Spanish will be spoken during the rehearsal.
