Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938) are two of the most important representatives of modernism in Germany and internationally, as well as being crowd favorites. Nevertheless, there has never before been a comprehensive comparison of their works. With "Kirchner. Picasso.", the exhibition poses the hitherto neglected research question of connections and differences between the works of the two exceptional artists.
