You are just now starting to read a text about a play called OIO. We made this play for you and for all the people who, like you, want to laugh, cry, marvel and believe that a good life is possible for everyone.

The general longing for stability amidst all the crazy truths is enormous. But what do you believe in? Perhaps we can agree on a story that has many faces. Everyone carries an invisible rucksack with them. It is full of our biography, of memories, of baggage. There are days when we don't even notice it, but what if it is suddenly so heavy that we can no longer move. What if it's suddenly always Tuesday?

That's exactly what happens to Frank on his journey. Some of you will know him from the stage classic LONGJOHN. When Frank was born, he knew what all babies know when they land on earth. Not much. They need a dose of gravity and someone to love them. Everything else comes and if we're honest, no one can really prepare you for life.

Death is the only thing that is certain in our lives - okay, death and the tax return. And yet we act as if we have nothing to do with it. Until it comes and takes someone away.

Frank lost his father when he was 15 years old. All his life he tried not to suffer and to find allies in the eyes of others. But what if that suddenly doesn't work anymore, if you're standing still even though the planets above and below you are still moving?

First of all: Breathe in. Breathe out. Sprinkle a pinch of faith over you and then: "Do it or don't do it, there's no trying." Yoda

So Frank sets off with an android named Cal in search of his father and when over 250 faiths are convinced that the dead are apparently Upstairs, there's probably only one way to go.

On their turbulent journey through space, they encounter countless creatures & adventures until Frank & Cal have found answers to questions they never had before.

In OIO, DER WEISSE KNOPF remains true to itself and presents a multimedia freestyle theater. This time the cinematic inspiration is science fiction. Look forward to well-known quotes, live music, choreography, illustrations, films & tears you can't interpret. The 8-member Knopf team consisting of actors, dancers, musicians, artists, illustrators and a director has created a cinematic stage experience that will inspire you to believe in a good life.
