ÖKOFILMTOUR Preisverleihung

Closing of the Ökofilmtour 2024, the 19th Brandenburg festival of environmental and nature films - with the juries, the award winners, many guests and live music

From January to April, the 19th Eco Film Tour will be showing films of all genres in Potsdam and up to 70 locations throughout Brandenburg that deal with global environmental protection and nature conservation as well as related, socially and regionally highly topical issues. The Ökofilmtour 2024 ends on May 2, 2024 with the traditional award ceremony. The patron of the Ökofilmtour 2024 is Axel Vogel, Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg.

The Ökofilmtour 2024 jury will award the following prizes on this evening, selected from a total of 66 films: the Horst Stern Prize for the best nature film from the Brandenburg Nature Conservation Fund Foundation, the Climate Protection Film Prize from the state capital Potsdam, the Future Film Prize from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE), the Hoimar von Ditfurth Prize for the best journalistic achievement and the Jury Prize for the best artistic achievement, awarded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH. In addition, there is the Rheinsberger Preussenquelle Children's and Youth Prize, awarded by a children's and youth jury, the "Brandenburger Bienengold" audience prize, donated by the Brandenburg Beekeepers' Association, and the Audience Prize, awarded by ahead burghotel in Lenzen an der Elbe.

The jury of the Ökofilmtour 2024 consists of Christiane Grefe, freelance journalist (including DIE ZEIT), Volker Angres, freelance journalist, author, presenter and coach (including ZDF-Umweltredaktion), Nora Sophie Griefahn (Managing Director Cradle to Cradle NGO), Christian Heynen (filmmaker and director, winner of the Ökofilmtour 2023), Philipp Grieß (director, UFA, "Expedition Arktis - Ein Jahr. A ship. In the ice."), Eva Neidlinger (director and author) and Dr. Mónica Hernández-Morcillo (Senior Scientist Forest, People and Innovation, Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development/HNEE).
