In a world full of the constant pursuit of trend and the quickly ephemeral, between superficial pleasure, heartbreak and drama, Olson creates his very own "beautiful chaos": being restless and "always on the lookout" often has negative connotations. If, however, this is not an identity crisis, but rather the constant striving for new input and living out one's own creativity, an attitude to life develops from this: an attitude to life that involves questioning oneself artistically, working on oneself and developing oneself. That's what Olson does - and in the process new music always comes out. Music that always stands for exactly where he is in life. Music that is loaded with emotions. Music that sings about not just a personal lifestyle, but a cross-generational attitude to life.
"Actually, "Here your flowers", the new EP from Olson, was not planned at all. But as it is with life sometimes, all of a sudden completely different things happen than those you actually planned. For example, the person you actually thought you'd go through life with side by side forever decides after eleven years not only to end the relationship.
When the ground is pulled out from under your feet from one moment to the next, a whole new form of urgency and realness emerges. All six songs on the "Hier deine Blumen" EP were written in the weeks immediately after this breakup - between the end of one panic attack and the beginning of the next, after all-nighters and the mornings after. Every half-sentence, every messenger message mentioned, every time and place, every damn moment - all that happened exactly like that. Using the coordinates of his own catastrophe, Olson paints a picture of a break-up on "Here Are Your Flowers" that couldn't be more immediate."
