ON HER WAY – 30 Jahre Berliner Frauenmuseum

In the organizer's words:

The Berlin Women's Museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the opening of its large group exhibition on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in the project space of Kunsthaus Bethanien. The exhibition, in which all current members are participating, can be seen from May 8 to 16, 2026.

The exhibition title ON HER WAY is based on a quote by Indian author and activist Arundhati Roy: "Another world is not only possible, she is on her way, on a quiet day I can hear her breathing." The future appears here as a vision conceived by women - as a counter-image to the challenges of the present and as an expression of hope and confidence. At the same time, the title refers to individual paths of development as well as to the process and commonality within the group of artists.

Participating artists:

Caroline Armand, Judith Brunner, Katia Sophia Ditzler, Ulrike Dornis, Christine Falk, Caty Forden, Jelena Fuzinato, Ina Geißler, Ulrike Gerst, Andrea Golla, Harriet Groß, Margret Holz, Helena Kauppila, Rachel Kohn, Verena Kyselka, Uschi Niehaus, Roswitha Paetel, Susanne Piotter, Zuzanna Schmukalla, Annette Selle, Beate Selzer, Anja Sonnenburg, Beate Spitzmüller, Marianne Stoll, Regina Weiss, Sibylla Weisweiler, Marcelina Wellmer and Anke Westermann
