One billion rise up against violence against women

The association Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. Dortmund once again invites all committed Dortmund residents to dance, demonstrate and set an example together on 14.02.2024 at 5 pm on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit (below the Katharinentreppe / in front of the Football Museum):

Since 2013, February 14 has not only been known as Lovers' Day, but also as a day on which people around the world take to the streets for women's rights.

For the eighth time in a row, the association Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. Dortmund, together with other committed Dortmund residents, will be campaigning for a self-confident image of women on this day.

The aim of this flash mob campaign is to make the public aware that violence against women and girls has no place in our society!

Society must be sensitized to the fact that discrimination on the basis of gender should not be accepted as an unalterable fact.

The ONE BILLION RISING campaign in Dortmund is part of a worldwide flash mob campaign to make it clear: Women and girls have the right to a life free of violence!
