Open Air: Best Of Poetry Slam

The summit of wordsmiths—featuring the most eloquent and successful poetry slammers from the German-speaking world against the impressive backdrop of the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

The demand for live poetry in the greater Stuttgart area remains as strong as ever. Although numerous new poetry slams have sprung up in the Stuttgart region in recent years, the events are still packed to the brim. We are all the more delighted that the Mercedes-Benz Museum is once again making its open-air stage available to us this year as part of the “Stadtkultur” festival for a major open-air poetry slam.

This July, we’re once again inviting the best and most successful wordsmiths from the German-speaking world to a massive open-air poetry battle—the Best Of Poetry Slam.

As in previous years, audiences at this summit of the slam scene can look forward to a literary fireworks display that once again proves just how closely, powerfully, and incisively the written word can capture the spirit of the times. From stand-up rhymes to literary comedy, from poetry to rap, from performance prose to the classic short story—anything goes, as long as it promises polish, pace, and literary impact—striking right at the heart of the audience. As always, the audience will determine the winner of the evening, and the supporting program will feature live music.

Admission & Box Office

The poetry slam begins at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:00 p.m.

In previous years, the event has always sold out well in advance. Therefore, there will likely be no tickets available at the Box Office.
