The film "Ellbogen" by Berlin director Asli Özarslan is about powerlessness, anger and the frustrating realization that, as a Turkish woman growing up in Berlin, she doesn't belong anywhere. The film adaptation of Fatma Aydemir's novel of the same name paints the portrait of a young woman who defies the barriers of society, even if she has to pay a high price for it.

In order not to disturb neighboring events on the Schiffbauergasse site, the film screenings will take place with headphones from August 22 (available from the Waschhaus).
