Summer 1990 in Halberstadt: Shortly before German reunification, friends Maren, Robert, and Volker discover barrels full of decommissioned East German currency in an old mine tunnel. Before the bills become completely worthless, they team up with the entire neighborhood to pull off a brilliant heist. In a race against time, they smuggle the money out to cleverly exchange it for West German goods. A humorous summer comedy about friendship, solidarity, and the big heist amid the chaos of German reunification.
