In a spectacular competition for the most poetic word, the most surprising punchline, and the most powerful image, four poets face off against one another—the audience decides who wins. The three traditional rules also apply at the Erlangen Slam: Participants must have written their own texts, they have only a few minutes to prove their skills, and props are not allowed. As part of the Erlangen Poets’ Festival, Kathi Mock presents a selection of the best slammers from the German-speaking world.
