Want to take a look behind the scenes of applied logistics research? Fraunhofer IML is opening its doors and cordially invites all interested parties to gain a fascinating insight into the world of logistics research. On September 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to experience the latest developments and innovations in the field of logistics up close.

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML, we develop digital and sustainable solutions for the key issues in logistics. Today, logistics is the leading industry and the leading developer of technological innovations. Digital platforms, data security and open source software, artificial intelligence, autonomous robots and blockchain, digital value creation, resilience, smart finance, sustainability and compliance: these are just some of our topics. They show just how diverse logistics is. Our aim is to move people and things sensibly - economically, ecologically and socially.

The Open Day offers a varied program with something for everyone. Live demonstrations will showcase the latest technologies and their application in practice. Prototype center, packaging laboratory, drone shows: Guided tours through the institute's research infrastructure allow visitors to take a look behind the scenes of the research work and get to know the various laboratories and workshops. There is also the opportunity to talk directly to the researchers and find out more about their work.
