Admission - exhibition: 19:00 - 21:00 - 5€

"This admission is intended for guests who want to come primarily to see the exhibition. In this way, we want to create a wider reach for the two artists. At 9 pm, you can then decide whether you would like to support the other artists with €10 on top and spend the rest of the evening with us." Box Office: €15

All proceeds will be used exclusively for the artists, helpers and our fixed costs. Any surplus will automatically flow into the next project or be donated to a good cause. We will publish which one that will be when the whole thing is made possible by all of us.

OPEN MINDED has been wholeheartedly pursuing a path of diversity and tolerance since 2014. It is driven by a subcultural head who has been firmly anchored in the heart of Stuttgart's subculture for many years.

The world of Broken Beats is a multitude of different music cultures that move outside of techno/house/trance. These have existed and developed parallel to each other since their creation and unfortunately currently only have rare moments together in Stuttgart where you can feel the pleasure of this musical breadth in people's hearts.

And I'm really looking forward to making this world more tangible for Stuttgart again with you after more than 8 years. On this evening, we will open the gates to KuBu at 7 pm and cordially invite you to a relaxed warm-up. Which will be decorated & opened by an exhibition of two local street art/graffiti artists. Let BUSTA170 & MODUL8 take you into their open minds with a joint installation or their own projects. And maybe you'll even take home a piece that you can buy on the spot.

The path of sound that we will follow together on this evening starts at 20:30 where Hydrogenii from Buddy&Beats will bring us to the floor with a fine mix of his own productions/releases and beautiful trip hop tunes. From there it's straight into LIVE mode, where Leon Pendabel will give us a taste of how he brings his images from words to our skin. Always in contrast - always self-made! And what great vibes are in store for us this evening.

I'm particularly looking forward to Schlakks, a subcultural big heart from Dortmund that has been accompanying my ears and my brain for many years. Music has a different effect on everyone and finding a definition for everyone is not that easy. In his own words, when asked how he would describe his music... "Preferably not at all". The transition to the steppier versions of Broken Beats will be created for us by a LIVE duo who have come together again after a long time. Look forward to Modul8 & Patrizia Capreoli. Influenced by his last two EPs "Acceler8ed" and "Epoch", Modul8 will spread a carpet of dub, jungle, footwork & funk for Patrizia with her unmistakably warm and powerful voice.

The flying carpet of sound then picks up speed and is steered into the world of oldskool breaks, ragga jungle and drum bass by Sickhead from Mannheim. Through his 33 years of presence in the scene, he has moved a lot and created and designed various platforms for artists and their music and continues to keep them alive.

The same passion also characterizes the person who will stand on the decks afterwards. MFS came to Stuttgart at a time when the subculture was going through a painful dry spell. With the "Lost Frequency" series, he created an impact that the scene needed. With his first pure drum bass set, he will deliver just as many fat breaks and drops that we know and love from the Bohne or the Bassbezirk sessions.

The crowning finale is provided by Nappyhead, the queen of the colorful diversity of DrumnBass in Stuttgart. A brain which, thanks to its enormous musical influence outside the BBs, naturally creates love and vibes with each of these facets. For her first closing she will take some color out of her set and go to darker levels.
