Open screenings / public viewing of short films for the 23rd Int. low & no budget film-sharing short film festival 2026

A very special short film evening. Only at the film-sharing short film festival can you, the audience, act as a jury and vote live on which films will or will not be included in the short film festival!

On Wednesday, May 13, around 20 of the latest international low & no budget short film productions will be screened on the tip of the island.
The prerequisite for each film is that it must be entertaining, funny, quirky and something special - and they are!
An initial pre-selection has already been made from the up to 4,000 international films submitted each year.
After each film has been submitted, a democratic vote will be held using red cards to decide whether or not the film will be included in this year's festival program in the summer.
A short film slam, so to speak!

You can look forward to everything from wonderful love stories, absurd comedies and artistic animations to exciting and dramatic short films. Ingo Klopfer from the get shorties reading stage will host the evening with wit and irony.

The short film festival will then take place on Saturday, August 15 in the open air program on the Inselspitze Heilbronn.

The event will take place indoors. If the weather is very good, it will be moved outside.
