Opening House of Colors

We invite all artists and anyone interested to the opening on August 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.—free admission!
TheHouse of Colorsproject is creating a temporary space for art, culture, and urban creativity at Nicolaistraße 18 and 20. The vacant buildings have been made available to us by WG Aufbau Dresden eG for temporary use until their planned demolition at the end of the year.
House of Colors is conceived as an experimental space for artists. The goal is to enable participation, test new formats, and create low-threshold access to cultural production. An open call was held, allowing interested individuals to contribute ideas for design and use.
In the spring, the focus was on setting up the space, jointly preparing the rooms, and creating various exhibition spaces and creative projects. Starting in the summer and continuing through the fall, the House of Colors will be open to the urban community and the local arts scene—featuring exhibitions, workspaces, events, and collaborative formats.
The project stands for temporary use, community engagement, and the activation of vacant spaces as a cultural resource within the urban landscape.
We welcome anyone who would like to support this project in their own way.
