East German Science Slam Championship
06.10.2026 from 7 pm, Waschhaus Arena
Who will win the title? The eight best slammers from the east of Germany will compete against each other in the East German Science Slam Championship. They have qualified in regional competitions and will now prove once again how entertaining and exciting science can be. They will explain what they are currently researching in a witty and pointed manner. The ten-minute limit sets the stress and pressure point. Whoever manages to get the audience excited about their topic in the short time available is crowned the winner by applause and points. Dr. Bryan Nowack, himself a successful slammer and biologist, will moderate the competition, at the end of which it will be decided who will compete for the German championship title in Berlin on October 23.
