Jazz from the Ruhrpott

"Yeah!" - this little word is one of the greatest accolades a jazz musician can receive, as it expresses unreserved pleasure. And when it comes from the mouth of a jazz legend like saxophonist Wayne Shorter, it's almost like an accolade. Pianist Pablo Held, who was born in the Ruhr area, was given this honor, and Shorter continued: "I like what you're doing. You're taking this one path that few people dare to take and you're getting to other places. It takes courage, but it's a great adventure."
