Even if nobody really knows exactly when the Irish bishop Patrick died in the 5th century, for the Irish, March 17 is the unofficial-official anniversary of his death and therefore St. Patrick's Day. The green wave has long since spilled over into Leipzig and we have a pub for you where you are sure to feel at home on St. Patrick's Day ... Come by and celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2024 with us. Paddy's formed in 2017 in the Irish part of East Germany around Dessau/ Leipzig. After a few trips together to the Celtic Sea and numerous pub visits, they decided to combine their love of Irish music and their musical roots. The band plays Irish folk punk, classic Irish folk and Celtic rock. In 2018, the band started their first recordings and released their EP (Sláinte Mhaith) with 6 songs on vinyl and CD under the label of Hoehnie Records. Now the time has come: In July 2022 Paddy's Punk will release their first album " With Full Horse" with 14 brand new tracks on their new label " Smith&Miller Records" The album is a varied cross-section of beautiful ballads, classic Irish folk songs and Celtic punk rock songs.
