In the organizer's words:

Dear people,
It's true: Konzertdirektion Palme is now 5 years old. There's been a lot going on (and sometimes very little) in that time. We are a little proud of what we have achieved in that time. Above all, we are happy about the many new friendships we have made during this time. In any case, reason enough to bring some of them on stage together to celebrate. On October 4, the PALMENFEST will therefore take place for the first time at Uebel & Gefährlich. Outstanding artists who have played a key role in shaping the first 5 years of Konzertdirektion Palme will perform on two stages.

The fantastic Soft Loft, who enchanted the Nachtasyl on Saturday with their great, emotional indie pop, will open the evening in the hall. Great melodies that, despite their unmistakable pop appeal, make our nerd hearts beat faster.

This is followed by Svaneborg Kardyb, currently probably the most exciting duo that the jazz genre - in the broadest sense - has to offer. With rhodes & piano and drums, the two Danes create a veritable maelstrom somewhere between jazz, minimalism and psychedlic.

This is followed by a top-secret special guest, about whom we are not yet allowed to comment at this point for reasons of confidentiality. We would like to - but we've got to play the game or something.

But perhaps we can help you get over this disappointment by revealing that the Turmzimmer, and thus a second stage, is now ready to play: this is where the fabulous Conic Rose from Berlin will open the evening. If we assume that jazz as a genre is no longer particularly meaningful anyway, we might as well keep trying with this term here. In addition, electronica and pop appeal to the legs and stomach at least as much as the head.

Back to the hall for a moment: you could actually take a deep breath here after the brilliant special guest - but nope. Now we come to the more electronic part of the evening (you've already danced, believe us!): Hendrik Weber aka Pantha Du Prince plays one of his rare live sets in the field of tension between electro, minimal, house and techno.

If that's perhaps too cool for you, you're welcome to take another look in the tower: AFAR now take to the stage and things continue a little more organically, but by no means less danceable. The duo stands for melodious soundscapes with warm, captivating vocals and danceable rhythms.

Then something happens in the hall that we have wanted for a very, very long time: Pianist Kai Schumacher plays a primetime club set in the club. Anyone who thinks you can't dance to solo piano will be proven wrong tonight. The compositions on his latest albums Rausch and Tranceformer are more suited to techno than the concert hall anyway.

The show continues seamlessly with producer and DJ Stimming, who is sure to bring some home-made equipment to the Uebel & Gefährlich and get us all dancing.

At the same time, the last round will also take place in the Turm: Simon Strotmann (Common Cause, Kiss Kiss Club) & Friends will be playing a mixture of indie, house and pop for as long as we want. Simon can do everything.

That's a whole lot of program for one evening. And it's going to be pretty good.
