PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
How political is Pride today? What stories do we tell—and which ones remain invisible? What role does queer art play in preserving memory, creating visibility, and envisioning new futures?
As part of the exhibitionSeason 3: “EXISTENCE” – Pride Edition,The (___) GalleryandNetzpiloteninvite you to an open panel discussion on the connection between art, activism, and community.
Together, we’ll discuss the evolution of Pride—from protest to festival to community event—as well as diversity and representation, queer visibility, and the question of how art can create spaces where different life experiences find their place.
Participants include:
Rory Midhani– an artist featured in the exhibition whose work focuses on queer identity, physicality, and community.
Hans Berlin– HIV activist and former performer who has been advocating for sexual self-determination, destigmatization, and queer visibility for many years.
Gino Emnes– musical theater actor, performer, and person of color, who will speak about diversity, representation, and visibility on German-language stages.
The evening will be moderated byHendrik Menken.
The talk is not intended to be a traditional panel discussion, but rather a personal, respectful exchange in which the audience is also invited to ask questions and join the discussion.
The event will be recorded in cooperation withNetzpilotenand subsequently released as a special episode of the podcast“Tech und Trara.”
