PANTALOONS

In the organizer's words:

Pantaloons is a Slovenian band with a unique musical genre and energetic stage performances. Luka Belič (saxophone), Aljaž Markežič (sousaphone, synthesizer, EWI) and David Nik Lipovac (drums), a lively and (z)bouncing trio, first met in 2016 when they started experimenting with musical melodies and rhythms in jam sessions.

After some acoustic compositions, which are well represented on the Pantaloons EP (2019), their genre evolved into electronic dance music with hints of jazz, funk, breakbeat, dubstep and more. In 2022 they released their first album Zbounce.

Pantaloons are a young but extremely promising talent in the music scene with more and more stage experience at home and abroad. They opened the stage for Kamaal Williams at Ment Festival in Ljubljana and performed at Liverpool Sound City Festival and Electric Castle Festival in 2020 and 2021. In 2022 they performed at Changeover (Serbia), PIN (Macedonia), Bush (Hungary), ESNS (Netherlands), Brussels Jazz Weekend (Belgium), and HOP POP HOP (France), Babylon Europa (Germany), Mumush and Jazz in The Park (Romania), Flaam Festival (Slovakia), Praha žije hudbou and Mladi ladi jazz (Czech Republic), Afrobanana Fest (Cyprus) and many more.

Pantaloons were part of the INES#talent network in 2020 and were among the superfinalists of the HEMI Music Awards 2022 and semi-finalists of Slovenia's Got Talent 2023.

The event takes place with the support of the Slovenski kulturni center Berlin / Slovenian Cultural Center Berlin, as a preview of the concert that will take place on June 25 at 4.30 pm in the Fan Zone at the Football Culture Summer in Berlin.
