From April 25 - 28, 2024, during the Berlin Gallery Weekend, the eighth edition of paper positions berlin will present 60 international galleries from 11 countries with outstanding positions from contemporary and modern art with a focus on drawing and the material paper.

During the Berlin Gallery Weekend, paper positions berlin 2024 will once again focus on this special genre within art at the Deutsche Telekom Capital Representative Office, centrally located at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte. Galleries and the artists they represent will be given the opportunity to present their work on the subject of drawing and the medium of paper with all its specific characteristics, fragility and enormous versatility. In line with its exhibition concept, which is tailored entirely to the mostly sensitive exhibits without classic booths, paper positions berlin deliberately focuses on a salon-like situation. The limited number of galleries also emphasizes the character of a large themed exhibition. The spatial design offers visitors both an open overview and the opportunity to approach individual works of art directly and perceive them in mutual dialog.

Three special prizes are awarded annually at paper positions berlin. Together with Canon, d'mage and Hahnemühle, the Paper Art Award enables purchases for the Haus des Papiers, the best gallery presentation is honored with the Leue & Nill Award and, together with the Kaiserwetter agency, we present the paper positions award to a special artist.

We will be presenting works by Katharina Hinsberg (winner of the paper positions award 2023) in a special exhibition.
