Wild and feminine - that's how the British singer/songwriter describes her music. If this seems contradictory to you, the mystery is solved as soon as you hear her folk-inspired pop. Because as soon as Paloma steps on stage, everything suddenly makes sense. The Derbyshire-born musician began writing her own songs at the age of 14. She has been releasing her music since 2020 - initially written, recorded and produced by herself, all in her bedroom. In the spring of 2023, she shared excerpts of her new song "Labor" on TikTok - and women from all over the world felt touched by the lyrics, a gritty description of the physical and emotional labor of women in patriarchal societies. The vulnerability of the lyrics combined with the dramatic production made "Labour" an anthem for feminism, which many women on TikTok used as a soundtrack for their own experiences of sexism.
