Passierzettel have been pursuing the concept of spontaneous composition for almost three decades. While other musicians rehearse their pieces, Passierzettel develop them from their interplay - without musical agreements, without repertoire, without fixed strategies. Their soundscapes and hybrid songs blend influences from Krautrock, free jazz, no wave, avant-garde, 60s psychedelic, world music, electronics and punk.

In recent decades, the musicians' collective has included greats such as Thomas E. Martin (Faust), Damo Suzuki (Can) and Lothar Meid (Amon Düül 2, Westernhagen, Passport)
