Patrick Nederkoorn | Die orangene Gefahr
In the organizer's words:
The Orange Threat
What happens if, due to rising sea levels, 17 million orange-clad climate refugees roll into Germany in their RVs on the left lane? Will the Germans then be ready to welcome the Dutch, whom they love so much?
“The Orange Threat—The Dutch Are Coming” is the first German-language show by Dutch cabaret artist Patrick Nederkoorn. The premiere took place in the spring of 2022 at the Haus der Springmaus in Bonn. It’s an amusing and scathing examination of the peculiarities of our two nations and the issue of migration in the context of climate change. The show was nominated for the Prix Pantheon and won the Obernburg Mühlstein, the Komiker Jackpot, the Silver Reinheim Satire Lion, and second prize at the Tuttlingen Krähe.
