Patrick Wolf entered the British experimental electronic music movement of the early millennium as a singer-songwriter and producer at the age of 19. At the age of 15, Fat Cat Records gave him his first production equipment, followed a few years later by a release on Mike Paradina's planet-mu label and his debut EP in 2002 on Capitol K's record label. The EP caused a stir in the UK music scene with Patrick Wolf's bold new sound and he was played on the radio for the first time. It was the beginning of a decade of groundbreaking albums, artwork and visuals ahead of their time, fascinating world tours and magical collaborations.

Born in London in 1983 to English and Irish parents, Patrick studied at the Junior Music Academy as a violinist, violist, harpist and composer. In his spare time he wrote and produced songs in his bedroom studio, sent them to labels and gave his debut solo show at the age of 15 at The Garage in London. Full of ambition, he wanted to share with the world the work he had been working on in his teens that would form the debut album "LYCANTHROPY", which was met with critical acclaim when it was released in the UK and USA in 2003 and was voted by the NME as one of the 100 best British albums of all time.

He self-produced, arranged, with no co-writers or artistic direction, the work and the act "Patrick Wolf", presented live with homemade clothes and instruments rarely seen on stage at the time, confounded and intimidated the British music industry in equal measure. The German-based label "Tomlab", re-released this debut album and sent him on an extensive tour of Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Canada and America, which continued directly with the release of the second album "WIND IN THE WIRES" in 2005. Wolf continued to live his life on the road, gaining a rapidly growing organic audience year after year from the back seat of a car, packed with his viola, electric piano, laptop, organ and baritone ukulele.

In the coming years of his career, he supported Amy Winehouse on her "Back to Black" USA tour, appeared on "The Conan O'brien show" and "Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel" show and became the face of Burberry A/W 2007.

After further releases and tours, Patrick, now 40, lives on the Kent coast in England, where he recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his first release with his EP "THE NIGHT SAFARI", followed by a collection of bsides and other rarities "THE CIRCLING SKY". He will also release a new album in 2024.
