Paul Eastham is a pianist, composer, singer/songwriter and frontman of a touring rock band. Originally from Stockport, UK, he was born in July 1981 and has a classical piano background with a very prestigious musical pedigree. Paul was taught by Howard Morgan, who himself was trained by the famous Hungarian pianist Louis Kentner. As a teenager, Paul gave concerts featuring works by Rachmaninov, Chopin and many other classical greats, but gave up his career as a concert pianist at the age of 18 to pursue songwriting and composing. This led to many experiences including working as a music producer and collaborating with artists such as Duffy as well as writing songs for rock legends such as Kevin Godley of 10cc. Paul has written songs with many songwriters including Winston Sela and Nashville country greats such as Anthony Smith.

Paul comes from a very musical family: his parents both play in bands, and his late grandfather from Manchester played drums for artists such as Duke Ellington.

Paul has both English and Scottish roots. His great-grandfather, Stockport historian Herbert Morton, came from the Douglass clan. This could explain the "Celtic" flavor that runs thematically through Paul's music, as well as the fact that he spent part of his childhood in the Western Isles of Scotland, where his mother and grandmother are now buried.

In the summer of 2007, Paul formed a Celtic-industrial rock band called "Coast". This was the beginning of his career on international stages where he performed all over Europe together with artists like Bryan Adams, Paul Brady, The Kaiser Chiefs, Arlo Guthrie, Runrig, Procol Harum, The Levellers, Seth Lakeman and Danish artists like Mads Langer, Rasmuss Seebach, The Minds of 99, D.A.D, Alphabeat and many others.

Paul has put Coast on hold for the time being to devote himself to other musical projects, such as the duo "Paul Eastham & Finlay Wells" and opera singing. Paul and Finlay have already performed throughout Germany, Denmark and Scotland as well as in the USA. They are also working on a recording project with new releases.
