PaulWetz no longer just dances in his apartment: in 2024 he will be touring German-speaking countries.

What happens when you combine indie with electronic music? PaulWetz does just that, combining his singer-songwriter skills with electronic influences to create a melancholy, melodic vibe that is charmingly unparalleled.

The newcomer was born in Pforzheim and came into contact with music at an early age. Growing up in the 2000s with MTViva, emo-punk and Red Hot Chili Peppers, PaulWetz began making his own guitar out of plywood. He loves Nirvana instead of sheet music and screams his heart out to his own songs. Initially alone, then with a band.
In the meantime, PaulWetz worked in a call center and tried out different voices and personas on the phone. Now you can find these personalities in his clips. That shows real entertainer qualities. At the same time, he produced and wrote with and for none other than Milky Chance, Sina Seiner and Evaporate.
The short clips become entire songs. Unadorned and direct, Paul Wetz brings his music from his head to the audience.
Smooth synths, playful basses, laid-back drums and pointed yet poetic lyrics in which Paul Wetz describes his thoughts, feelings and moments he has experienced. Again and again he reflects on himself and his surroundings. Previously in English, he will concentrate on German lyrics in the future.
