Inspired by Norwegian fairy tales, Henrik Ibsen tells the story of the dream-traveling braggart Peer Gynt. On a restless journey through a fantastic world, he falls from the peaks of success into deep poverty, is a fantasist, a persecuted man, an emperor and finally a desperate man in search of meaning.

At the end of his journey full of trolls and demons, after adventures in Morocco and America, Peer, the "Nordic Faust", asks the all-encompassing questions about the meaning of life and also about happiness, which has perhaps been waiting for him for a long time ...

A new drama festival by ENSEMBLE PERSONA as part of the SOMMER-FESTSPIELE SCHLOSS NYMPHENBURG: the poetic play Peer Gynt with the musical themes of Edvard Grieg's music.

Since 2016, ENSEMBLE PERSONA has been presenting open-air experiences in the incomparable ambience of Nymphenburg Palace. Since 2021, the open-air format has been operating under the name SOMMER-FESTSPIELE SCHLOSS NYMPHENBURG. Let yourself be carried away into nights full of poetry.
