Musical Playground - Experience music together!

Welcome to "People with instruments" - the Musical Playground in Potsdam. Come with us on a sound expedition full of creative energy and community. We invite you to become part of a musical world in which the joy of making music takes center stage.

• "A Path of No Mistakes" is not about perfection, but about experiencing and discovering music together. Regardless of whether you already have experience on instruments or not - having fun is our top priority!
• Who is the project for?
  People with and without a migration background, age: 16-27 years, open to anyone who is interested in music

What can you expect?

• Group Composition: We create music together, everyone contributes their part.
• Find your instrument: Try out different instruments or play with the instruments you already know. You can bring your own instrument.
• Developing a Piece: We create pieces from the moment and develop them further.
• "One, Two, Three... GO!": Join us on a musical journey without pressure.

Language barriers are no obstacle! Whether you speak German well or not, with us it's the language of music that counts.
Come along, meet new people and discover a new way of making music together.

When, where, how

The sessions will take place weekly on Fridays from April 12 at the Club Mitte youth club on the freiLand site.

You can join us from the beginning, but you can also join us on any other date.
Do I need my own instrument? No! We have guitars, basses, drums, piano and various instruments. You are welcome to bring your own instrument if you have one.

Who leads the sessions?

Martin Millner is not only a musician, but also a community music coach and teacher who is committed to music, education, integration and bringing people together. With a wealth of experience, he brings people together in musical projects, whether through his work with children, young people and adults in challenging phases of life or through his work as a professional musician in Germany and England. He is passionate not only about music, but also about fostering community and connection through creative projects.

Charlie, a qualified music educator and music facilitator, brings a wealth of expertise to the world of music. As an experienced band coach, Charlie has mastered the basics of all band instruments, with a focus on guitar, bass and vocals. Charlie not only gives professional music lessons in these instruments, but also shares his knowledge and passion on YouTube.
With a special focus on guitar, bass and music theory basics as well as recording and stage techniques, Charlie teaches content that gives music lovers a deep insight into the world of music. Charlie mainly works in the genre of popular music, especially rock.
Behind the artistic alias Noamis, Charlie unfolds a fascinating journey through indie pop rock as a singer-songwriter. With a wide range of skills and a deep understanding of the musical world, Charlie is always eager to share their passion for music and guide others on their own musical journey of discovery.

Are you an experienced musician and would like to present your instrument and/or your music at one of the sessions and talk about your musical experiences? We are looking for guest musicians with diverse cultural backgrounds who are interested in accompanying individual sessions of our project and contributing to our creative community with their musical expertise.
