Sacred and secular songs from the 12th to 14th centuries

Sacred and secular - in medieval music these were not opposites. On the contrary, the same melodies were sometimes set to sacred and sometimes to secular lyrics, and there were also many similarities in terms of expression, as both were concerned with sorrow and joy, hope and longing. PER-SONAT, internationally renowned for its profound and lively interpretations, has found the songs for this evening in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French sources and brings them to life with vocals, fiddles and harps. The musicians are always interested in tracing the way of life and emotional world of the people of that era.
