At the center of the performance "WTF 1770" are the two artists of the century Friedrich Hölderlin and Ludwig van Beethoven, born in 1770, whose significance today is examined. In a musical-theatrical performance, the focus is on the similarities and differences between their work and the significance of the two men for European literature and music.

Justus Wilcken and Konstantin Dupelius, who together form the duo "OMG Schubert", combine the classical compositions with electronic sounds and vocals, thus rethinking Hölderlin's and Beethoven's work as a Gesamtkunstwerk. The performance will be accompanied by live videos by video artist Wilhelm Rinke.

The thematically linked artist talk will then focus on the protagonists of the exhibition "Kirchner. Picasso". In addition to Hölderlin and Beethoven, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Pablo Picasso will also be examined against the backdrop of their artistic personalities, the cult of genius and increasing criticism of their person.
