Permeable Bodies

Permeable Bodies

In the organizer's words:

Contemporary circus, dance, installation, electro-acoustic sound

Permeable bodies are those that allow themselves to be influenced by their surroundings, to be touched, to let the outside in.

In Permeable Bodies, an oversized mobilé made of metal rods and granite stones slowly grows together and visualizes the clash between gravity and weightlessness, ruthlessness and tenderness. Its individual parts are examined by the two performers for their properties and treated with particular care and attention. Behind this lies the question of a new value of things in an anthropocentric world that is heading for its own destruction through overconsumption and mass production.

Supported by Neue Künste Ruhr Projektförderung and the Ministry of Art and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia.
