Old Pettersson lives on a farm with his chickens and Findus the cat. There, the world is still in order - until Pettersson saves the rooster Caruso from the soup pot of the neighboring farmer. The chickens on the farm are happy, only Findus feels neglected and no longer understands the world. Hasn't he always taken good care of the chickens and played with them? From now on, Caruso crows early in the morning - as befits a real rooster. Findus decides to put an end to the noise. But a rooster without crows is no rooster at all...
