Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart | Symphony No. 38 in D major KV 504 "Prague"
The Swedish clarinettist Martin Fröst wants to test the boundaries of the traditional music business. He achieves this through creative and informal programs that are versatile, innovative and approachable. "Yes, I like to surprise myself. [...] And I like the feeling that we are part of a change of direction," says Fröst. In his debut with the KAP, he presents himself as a soloist, arranger and conductor. A classic, the "Hungarian Dance" by Brahms, as well as a compilation of nomadic dances, arranged for clarinet and orchestra, open the concert evening. He takes on the virtuoso solo part in Weber's atmospheric clarinet concerto before switching to the conductor's podium with Mozart's "Prague Symphony", which once again takes up the light and dance-like style.
