Rolando Villazón is not only a tenor, but also a writer, director and TV personality. With his unusual expressiveness, he is one of the most influential artists of our time. François Leleux and Villazón have a long-standing musical friendship, which they will celebrate together in Potsdam.

The program will open with the cheerful Symphony in A major, in which the young symphonist Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's joyful sense of discovery shines through. In his second symphony, Camille Saint-Saëns evokes musical memories of Viennese Classicism and shows what a universal and inquisitive artist he was. His colleague Claude Debussy once said of him: "No one knows the music of the whole world better than Monsieur Saint-Saëns."
