Photo Transfer Collage Workshop - in Berlin, Germany

In the organizer's words:

Keegan Luttrell is an American multi-media artist living and working in Berlin. She completed her MFA in sculpture at Mills College in Oakland, California, and graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Art History, Theory and Criticism and a concentration in Photography.

The artist has already exhibited her works in Berlin, London, Geneva, Athens, San Francisco, Oakland, New York City, Austin, Baltimore and Boston. Keegan explores themes of vulnerability, fear and protection, emphasizing the most fragile aspects of human existence through sculpture, video and performance.

During her "Photo Transfer Collage Workshops", Keegan shows you how photo transfer can be a unique, easy and cost-effective way to create mixed-media works of art. Whereas screen printing can be time consuming and require expensive equipment, photo transfer offers similar results by layering images with solvents.

You create imagery that can be worked back into or manipulated with watercolor, acrylic, pastels and color pencils. You can either use some of Keegan's pre-existing images or you can provide images to the artist ahead of time to incorporate into your mixed media-works during the workshop time.
