Enik is the man who seems to effortlessly jump from one genre to the next, from one sound to the next, and then effortlessly from one theater production to the next.

'Exile in Space' is the name of Enik & The Paranormal String Quartet's sparkling debut.

Because when you listen to Exile in Space, something plucks and plucks, pulls and stretches inside, usually in the place where most people assume the heart is. Melancholy doesn't fit the bill, it's also a much too worn-out term in music and has no place here. What Enik and The Paranormal String Quartet create in these eight musical gems on Exile in Space goes deeper. All in all, eight sparkling, quirky, organic and loving songs that reach from the heart into outer space.

The Paranormal String Quartet plays its way virtuously through a pulsating symbiosis of classically influenced soundscapes, radical avant-garde and jazzy beats - always in search of its own vision of chamber music. The musicians (from the Munich State Opera and the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, among others) are not only able to create lush grooves through new playing techniques, they also bring further layers to their music with their ability to improvise in a rousing way that have hardly been heard in this line-up before.
