Pimp your Bialetti is a creative and carving workshop by Vinnie and Laurin as part of the pop-up waslangewert. The focus is on an everyday classic - the Moka Express from Bialetti. The workshop invites you not only to use your own stove, but also to modify it creatively and add your own personal touch.

What you can expect:

In this workshop, you will customize a Moka Express - either bring your own stove or buy one from us. Together we will develop ideas in sketches and simple prototypes to redesign the handle and knob. Your very own interpretation will be created using add-on parts you bring with you, wooden elements you carve yourself or anything else we discover in the workshop room.

The workshop concept:

• Working on an existing object with a focus on individualization and value enhancement
• Joint brainstorming process with sketches and simple prototypes
• working by hand with wood and existing materials
• Open design framework with room for individual solutions
• Personal support and exchange throughout the workshop

No previous knowledge is required. The workshop is designed so that you are introduced to your own design step by step and develop confidence in modifying and repairing everyday objects. If you wish, simply bring your own stove or any special attachments you would like to use. The necessary tools and a selection of attachments & wood will be provided.

Key data:

The workshop lasts approx. 2 - 3 hours including introduction, joint design and construction phase and exchange. The course instructor will be present the entire time for support and assistance. The workshop takes place on:

Both workshops will take place at Grindelallee 129 in Hamburg. The events are hosted by waslangewert in cooperation with the respective organizer. The premises are supported by Hamburger Kreativ Gesellschaft. All tools and materials are available. Drinks are available on a donation basis.

As soon as we have received your message, we will send you all further information about booking the workshop. Your participation is booked as soon as we have received your payment. You will then receive a voucher from us to print out.
