After the stress of Christmas and the hustle and bustle of New Year's Eve, January will finally see the arrival of indulgence in the west of Leipzig: From January 7 to 25, the beer garden of the Plagwitzer Felsenkeller will be transformed into the 1st Plagwitzer Naschmarkt - a new culinary winter market away from the usual mainstream.

You can expect a warming selection of mulled wine, winter cocktails, regional delicacies from the grill and international street food from Africa, Tunisia and Japan. The offer is complemented by regional specialties such as Wagyu salami, GDR street food, lard pastries, Mutzen and a varied selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

A varied cultural program accompanies the culinary offer: singer/songwriters, small choirs and a cozy cultural stage provide musical accents. For children, there is a lovingly designed fairytale and cinema tent with lots to discover.
